Roberta Armstrong

Roberta R. Armstrong has worked in fundraising and communications for higher education and health-related organizations since 1975. She currently leads Development and Public Relations for Albany's Libraries, and cultivates major gifts for the University at Albany, SUNY (2001-present).
Dr. Armstrong is committed to raising $10.5 million in private support for endowments for University Libraries through the Campaign for the University at Albany.
Throughout her career, Roberta has helped individuals and not-for-profit organizations, including universities and colleges, through integrated communications and fundraising. She has worked with institutions and individuals to meet specific fundraising goals. She has also written, edited, and researched materials for books, articles, legislative briefing books, and media background tools on such subjects as law and medical ethics, patient safety issues, literary figures and their works, public power/utilities, biotechnology, and performing arts.
Her work has been recognized and acknowledged by professional organizations such as the American Society for Association Executives, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Legislative Correspondents Association, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Berkeley.
