I chose to become involved with the University Libraries and its development
committee because I truly believe that a superb academic library is necessary
for a university to be a first-rate, quality institution of higher education.
In addition, my high level of confidence in the ability of the University
Libraries to achieve its goals is due in large part to its excellence in
leadership across the board -- in terms of their vision, dedication, knowledge,
and talent.
