Peter Recore-Migirditch

Peter Recore-Migirditch is the Business & Facilities Manager for the University Libraries at the University at Albany, SUNY. Reporting to the Dean & Director of University Libraries, he is responsible for fiscal management, budgetary systems, internal controls and facilities management. He received a B.S. from the State University College at Plattsburgh and an M.P.A from the University at Albany, SUNY. He joined the University in 1981 as an Administrative Director with the Department of Residential Life & Housing.
As the Business & Facilities Manager, he is responsible for the Administrative Services Unit, which includes the Library Budget Office, Library Accounting, Shipping & Receiving, library purchasing and vended copy & print services. He manages the maintenance, renovation, space utilization and capital improvements of Albany's three library facilities. For the New Library, Mr. Recore-Migirditch's responsibilities included preparing bid specifications, purchasing and installation of all the furniture, equipment, compact shelving, book stacks and fixtures. Opening the new library building included the management and coordination of moving over 600,000 volumes into the building. He is currently finishing a $3 million project to renovate and refurnish the Dewey Library (circa 1909) and the 30-year-old University Library.
