New York State Modern Political Archive
The New York State Modern Political Archive (NYSMPA) contains the personal papers of former members of U.S. Congress and the New York State Legislature, and records of advocacy groups, social activists, labor unions, and other organizations concerned with Empire State public-policy issues.
The University Archives documents the University at Albany, SUNY from its origin in 1844 as the New York State Normal School to train teachers for New York State to its present status as a comprehensive research university.
Photographs, audio, video, newspapers and selected manuscripts are accessible though our digital asset management system, including material from the University Archives, New York State Writer's Institute Archive, WAMC Program Archive and selected labor union collections.
Intellectual Émigré Collection
The Intellectual Émigré Collection documents the intellectual exodus from Germany in the 1930s and 1940s and includes the papers of social scientists, humanists, writers, artists, and others associated with the University in Exile at the New School in New York City.
Historical Children's Literature
The papers of author Gregory Maguire and author /illustrator Marcia Brown complement more than 15,000 volumes of historical children's literature from 1850-1960.
