Outside Donations of Records

The M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives welcomes gifts of materials, including unique collections and select books, that fit within our collection development policy.

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to discuss intended donations of materials with the appropriate Department staff member who will be able to offer guidance and information about the donation process and work with you to develop a mutually acceptable Memorandum of Agreement for your collection.

Donors of collections may also wish to consult:

Elected officials, interest groups, and activists from New York State

Researchers, writers, activists, and records on capital punishment in the United States

Records that document the history of the University at Albany, SUNY and its predecessor schools

Books and periodicals for children and young adults, published in the United States between 1875 and 1950

Manuscripts, records, and papers primarily related to businesses and people of New York and New England.

Unique and Specialized Books
