Reference Question Form

General Instructions

 

  1. You may use this form to send a reference question, inquire about collections, or submit other questions to the staff of the M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives, University at Albany Libraries. Alternately, Department staff are available via telephone at 518-437-3935.
  2. You will receive an immediate automated e-mail notification from the Library's Webmaster which verifies that the Department has received your message. If you do not receive an automated notification from the Library's Webmaster there was a problem with your submission such as providing an invalid e-mail address. You will receive a response from Department staff regarding your research request generally within 24 hours Monday-Friday, excluding holidays.
  3. All answers are sent to the email address provided in the box below. To ensure that you receive a response, please accurately and completely list your email address.

The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of copyright. Whenever possible, the M.E. Grenander Department of Special Collections and Archives will provide information about copyright owners and other restrictions, but the legal determination ultimately rests with the researcher. Consult the U.S. Copyright Office at the Library of Congress site for further information and resources to assist in finding copyright holders.
