Back in 1997, Trudi Jacobson and Laura Cohen developed this site as a teaching tool, to help students understand the need to evaluate information that they were finding on the Web. The site has been extremely popular, used by librarians and teachers throughout the world.
Lately, however, there have been a number of occasions on which professionals, of various backgrounds, have not understood the purpose of this site, nor noticed the link explaining its pedagogical purpose. Obviously, there is still the need to teach evaluation skills! However, due to the sad demise of Rudolph Briggs, we will continue our work in other venues.
