The University Libraries collect several fees for masters theses and doctoral disserations as a courtesy to the Office of Graduate Studies. Before making payments, masters candidates should refer to the Master's Thesis Submittal Policies and Guidelines and doctoral candidates should refer to the Dissertation Submittal Policies and Guidelines on the website of the Office of Graduate Studies. Fees paid for theses and dissertations are nonrefundable. The dissertation pricing listed below includes additional charges the University bears for microfilming, binding and administrative processing beyond the basic UMI/Proquest fees. Rates are subject to change.

Fees may be paid in person by cash, check, credit card, or money order, at the Circulation Desk of the University, Science, or Dewey Libraries. You will be given a payment receipt which you must submit to the Office of Graduate Studies along with your thesis or dissertation.
Credit card payments are accepted by phone at 518-442-3601 Mondays - Fridays 8 am - 5 pm only; library staff will submit proof of payment to the Office of Graduate Studies. Checks may be submitted along with the original and paper copies sent to the Office of Graduate Studies.
The University Libraries arrange only for binding the required two copies of your thesis or dissertation. If you wish to arrange for binding additional copies, you may wish to contact the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on campus or at 518-442-5690 for names of recommended binderies or directly contact Long's-Roullet Bookbinders, Inc. at http://www.longs-roullet.com which offers reasonably priced binding services.
