How to Set Up a CLIO Alert
A CLIO Alert allows you to receive email notification of new content
that matches your research interests for the
databases America: History and Life and Historical Abstracts.
You can run alerts for either of these databases or both.
You can construct up to ten alerts to be run against new records each month.
- From any campus workstation, connect to
America: History and Life or
Historical Abstracts.
- Navigate to either the simple or advanced search screen. Select the link, "CLIO Alert Profile"
- If you've already established a profile, enter your profile username/password at the prompt
and select the "Login to Your Profile" button.
- If you have not yet set up a profile, click on the "Create a New Profile" link,
enter a profile username of your choice at the prompt, and select the "Create Profile" button.
