Face to Face Assistance Here at Dewey

We’ve got it all at the library – physical and digital resources to fuel your research, quiet study spaces to spread out (and buckle down), and the computers, scanners, and printers to make your work happen! Even better, when things go amiss or you have questions about these resources, help is just a step away.

 

Trying to determine if a resource is empirical or peer reviewed? Need assistance finding case law or a specific article? Need help getting started with your research? Your Dewey Librarians have got your back! Stop by the reference desk, make an appointment, or drop in for a visit-- there is usually a librarian available or on call between 10am - 8pm Monday - Wednesday. 1pm - 5pm Thursday and Friday, and 1pm -6:00pm Sunday. If the librarian has stepped away or is unavailable, circulation staff can assist you with directions to various resources, help you locate an item in the library, contact an on-call Librarian for you if needed, and/or put you in touch with your Subject Specialist – so don’t hesitate to inquire with whoever is available!

 

When it’s technology that has you pulling your hair out, be sure to check in with the IT Tech Help consultant stationed at the tall computer desk across from the reference desk. The Tech Help Consultant is available to assist you with all sorts of computer woes, from malfunctioning printers, to lost document recovery attempts, to software questions, and more! If the Tech Help consultant is off duty (see hours below), you can also give the ITS help desk a ring at (518) 442-3700 x2.
