The Alumni Memorial Window
in the Chapel of the Willett
Street Building. At the time
of its completion in 1892,
the Alumni Memorial Window
was the largest stained-glass
window in the United States. The
Association raised $5,000 in
nine years to pay for the window
by soliciting donations of $2 to $10
per graduate. Seen in the photo
on the walls of the Chapel are
paintings of former principals and
presidents of the school, faculty, and
leaders of the Executive Committee
(the Board of Trustees). The Memorial
Window and the portrait gallery
were destroyed in the fire of 1906.
