Millenium Indicators Database

A framework of 8 goals, 18 targets and 48 indicators to measure progress towards the Millennium Development goals was adopted by a consensus of experts from the United Nations Secretariat and IMF, OECD and the World Bank. Each indicator is linked to millennium data series as well as to background series related to the target in question.

The United Nations Volunteers is an organization that supports sustainable human development globally through the promotion of volunteerism, including the mobilization of volunteers. It is administered by the United Nations Development Programme. Volunteers are given a living allowance during service and a resettlement allowance upon return home based on the duration of the assignment.
