Who is eligible for Interlibrary Loan?

The Interlibrary Loan Department provides service for the University at Albany academic community. This includes currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff. Emeritus faculty are also eligible.

Courtesy borrowing privileges, alumni borrowing privileges, and Empire State College borrowing agreements do not include interlibrary loan privileges. Individuals from academic institutions, including SUNY institutions, must use the interlibrary loan services of the library where they are enrolled. Researchers who are not affiliated with an academic institution are encouraged to discuss research needs with the largest public library in their home district.
