Writer. Chiefly photocopied manuscripts of novels, short stories, plays, poetry, and essays, 1940-46; lecture notes,- 1956-61; and clippings, offprints, reviews, and biographies, 1927-36. Maass was born in Hamburg and taught at Mt. Holyoke College. The papers were photocopied before the originals were sent to the Deutsches Literaturarchiv, Marbach
