Ebooks at the University at Albany Libraries

The University at Albany Libraries subscribe to several collections of academic ebooks. These ebooks can be viewed on any computer with an Internet connection and are restricted to current University at Albany faculty, students and staff. Off-campus access requires authentication with your NetID and password. Individual ebooks are also listed in Minerva, the University Libraries online catalog. In addition, many works in the public domain, such as classic works of literature, are available for free on the Internet. The University at Albany Libraries also subscribe to several collections of online conference proceedings.

Gale Virtual Reference Library A collection of reference ebooks coering arts, biography, business, education, environment, history, law, library science, literature, medicine, countries, multicultural studies, religion, science and social science.
Greenwood Digital Collection A collection of ebooks from Greenwood Publishing Group.
ABC-CLIO eBook Collection A collection of reference ebooks from ABC-CLIO.
Lecture Notes in Computer Science Book series that reports state-of-the-art research results in computer science and information technology. Includes two subseries: Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence and Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics. Contains conference or workshop proceedings, research monographs, surveys, and tutorials
Book series that reports new developments in all areas of mathematics and their applications. Most of the books are either research monographs, lectures on a new field, presentations of a new angle in a classical field, or summer school or intensive course lectures.
Netlibrary A collection of 1369 copyrighted ebooks and 3823 public domain titles in ebook format.
Oxford Reference Online A collection of 170 reference books from Oxford University Press. Contains more than one million entires, 12,000 images and 500 maps. View the title list
Safari Tech Books Online 150 ebooks from imprints such as O'Reilly, Addison Wesley, New Riders, Prentice Hall, and Sams. Covers some of the latest technologies like Java, Web development, enterprise computing, and XML.
Sage eReference A collection of subject encyclopedias from Sage Publishing
Springer Tracts in Modern Physics Books in this series contain comprehensive and critical reviews of topics of current interest in physics, with emphasis on the fields of elementary particle physics, solid-state physics, complex systems, and fundamental astrophysics. SUNY Press Ebook Collection This is a collection of SUNY Press titles published between 2000-2006. Use of these materials is restricted to SUNY students, faculty and staff.
