Personalized Assistance with Searching

(PAWS) is an hour-long, one-on-one session with a librarian to help you get the most out of your research. These in-depth consultations can help you choose the right databases, formulate an effective search strategy, access new information and be kept up to date on the latest articles in your field.

Distance Learning

The University Libraries invite distance learners to use our resources and services. Registered distance learners have access to library materials, both print and online, and library services such as circulation, reference, interlibrary loan, and other services.

Government Information

The University at Albany Libraries are a Selective Depository for U.S. Government Publications. The collection supports many academic programs with particular emphasis in the social sciences, atmospheric science, and business.

Interlibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan Department supports the research and teaching needs of the University at Albany academic community, by expanding the range of materials available for scholarship beyond the physical and electronic collections of the University Libraries. The department provides article delivery and short term loans from a vast network of libraries and document suppliers.

Subject Specialists

Special Collections and Archives
