Linking to ERes

In Summer 2004, the URL, or web address, of the ERes system was changed to enable proxying. Simply put, proxying allows members of the University community to access articles licensed by the libraries from off campus. Failure to use the proxied URL will disable access to most article links within Eres for users who are off campus.

Please use the addresses below when you create links, shortcuts, or bookmarks/favorites to ERes. Send questions to ERes Manager if you need assistance.

Links

Copy and paste this HTML tag set to link to the ERes system:
<a href="http://libproxy.albany.edu/login?url=http://eres.ulib.albany.edu/">Connect to ERes</a>
The tag set will look like this in your web page:
Connect to ERes

Shortcuts

Edit an existing shortcut as follows:
  • Right-click on the shortcut icon.
  • Select Properties.
  • Replace the URL listed by copying and pasting the one below:
    http://libproxy.albany.edu/login?url=http://eres.ulib.albany.edu/

Bookmarks or favorites

Links to specific courses

http://libproxy.albany.edu/login?url=
The proxied URL to a course-specific page will resemble this:
<a href="http://libproxy.albany.edu/login?url=http://eres.ulib.albany.edu/coursepage.asp?cid=1537">
Connect to BIO 102N in ERes</a>
The tag set will look like this in your web page:
