August 15 is the deadline to submit any reserve request forms with guaranteed processing for Fall 2007 classes. After August 15, faculty may provide library staff with paper, book, and media materials for inclusion on Fall 2007 course reserves but processing may not be complete by the start of classes on August 27. We will make every effort to process materials quickly. Most paper materials will be placed on ERes. Faculty are encouraged to post syllabi, lecture notes, Powerpoint files, and other digital documents directly to ERes or to provide these files to reserve staff electronically. We request that faculty do not attempt to scan documents at home; these self-scanned documents are generally scanned at improper resolution, resulting in enormous files that are difficult to download and to print and which waste server space resources.
For information on all reserve services, go to the reserve web page at http://library.albany.edu/reserves/.
The paperless reserves service is intended for faculty instructional needs. The Libraries offer a document delivery service intended to meet faculty's research needs. Document delivery provides campus delivery of books and electronic desktop delivery of journal articles and other materials. For more information on document delivery services, go to http://library.albany.edu/about/delivery.html.
