| Description: | John M. “Tim” Reilly, president of United University Professions (UUP), and Beth Engler, WAMC Northeast Public Radio host and producer, taping a radio program. See page 3 of The Voice for further information. Tim Reilly was a professor of English at the University at Albany, SUNY when he was elected president of UUP in 1987. He served as president from 1987 to 1993. Reilly had been a chief union negotiator and chaired the Negotiations Committee, and was credited with winning TIAA-CREF pension reform. He was also a vice president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and a board member of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). |
