Rockefeller Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York as seen from the south looking north. On the viewer's left are the state office towers, designed by Wallace K. Harrison and Max Abramovitz. In the background is the New York State Capitol building (1867-99), designed in part by Henry Hobson Richardson. On the viewer's right is the Center for the Performing Arts, known as 'The Egg.' Situated in the center of the pool in the foreground is the sculpture 'Triangles and Arches' (1965) by the American sculptor, painter, and designer, Alexander Calder. Just behind The Egg is the Justice Building, designed by Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw, and Folley. There are crop marks on three sides and in the top margin is noted 'B1.'
