• Chemical Industry Archives: A Project of the Environmental Working Group.
• Conservation and Environment Division: Resources of the Geography and Map Division of the Library of Congress.
• National Parks Service Links to the Past: Along with the history of the National Park Service, this site provides references for historical themes and concepts as well as relevant National Historic Sites.
• U.S. Geological Survey: 1879-1989: A U.S. government circular tracing the history of the relation of geology during the first 110 years of the U.S. Geological Survey to the development of public-land, Federal-science, and mapping policies and the development of mineral resources in the United States.

Local, State, and Regional Research Collections

• Love Canal Collection: Extensive documentation online and in the University Archives from the University at Buffalo, SUNY regarding Love Canal and its aftermath.
• Marist Environmental History Project: The Marist Environmental History Project is dedicated to identifying historically significant materials concerning the Scenic Hudson Decision. Included are descriptions of collections held by Marist Archives and Special Collections as well as links to other repositories.
• New York State Archives: Researchers are able to search the New York State Archives' online catalog for more information about records held by the State Archives, State Library, and other institutions in New York. The Digital Collections section of the website includes an environmental history collection and images from the New York State Conservation Department and serves as a gateway to materials held by the New York State Archives, New York State Museum, New York State Library, and other partner institutions. The Rediscovering New York History and Culture portion of the Website also provides an overview of resources in environmental affairs from the New York State Archives.

• Pollution Abstracts: Covers the topic of air pollution, as well as broad coverage of pollution, offering scientific research and government policies. The Science Library has electronic access (1981+) available through the Library Web page under "Databases & Online Journals", and print from 1971-1995.

• The Croton Reservoir Water System: Online exhibit created by the Southeast Museum in Brewster, New York about the construction of the Croton Dam and Reservoir and its impact on the surrounding communities and landscape.
• Iron Mining in Southeast: Online exhibit created by the Southeast Museum in Brewster, New York about iron mining in the Village of Brewster in the late nineteenth century.
• John Muir: The John Muir Exhibit from the Sierra Club features the life and legacy of John Muir, naturalist, writer, conservationist, and founder of the Sierra Club.
• Library and Archival Exhibitions on the Web: A project of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries: This site features links to online exhibitions that have been created by libraries, archives, and historical societies, as well as to museum online exhibitions with a significant focus on library and archival materials. Users can search for exhibits related to environmental affairs from institutions from around the world.
