Biographical materials, 1932-56; correspondence with Hans Kohn, Golo Mann, and others, 1932-76; manuscripts of books and articles, undated; offprints of articles, 1934-76. Hirsch was a professor of history and library director at Bard College and at Trenton State College.  Also includes some correspondence and offprints of his wife Elizabeth F. Hirsch, a specialist in Renaissance philosophy.
