Reports are in many ways similar
to books. They are lengthy works which focus on one issue or topic
and they are usually prepared by a government organization or private research
organization. Reports can be found in three ways:
-
Through Minerva, our library's catalog, where there are a large number of government reports (WorldCat database also provides references to reports from libraries worldwide)
- Through NCJRS Abstracts Database
which includes reports published in the criminal justice field primarily
from U.S. federal, state and local government or under contract to
them. Many NCJRS reports are available online in pdf or html format.
Our library also owns many of these reports in print. Additional reports can be found in
Criminal Justice abstracts.
-
Through Internet sites.
Some publishers of reports will make them available on their web pages.
