Why Resist Plagiarism?

With the exception of a small number of people who cheat out of laziness, most students resort to plagiarism as a short term solution to their anxiety about researching and writing. However, plagiarism is never justified and in the long run only leaves you feeling anxious about getting caught and even less confident about your research and writing skills. No one is a born researcher or writer; acquiring these skills requires work, patience, and a supportive learning environment that the university can provide.
