How can you find out what the best subject headings are for your topic?
There are three ways:
- If you are in the library doing your searching, check the large
red Library of Congress Subject Heading books by the reference area.
- Either in person or via Ask a Librarian
(at http://apps.library.albany.edu/AskALibrarian/askaLib.aspx),
ask a reference librarian for assistance.
-
If you have found one book (or other type of material) on Minerva
that looks appropriate for your topic,
check the Subjects shown in the record. If one of them is on target,
click on it (it is a link). You will be taken to a list of other items about the same subject.
