The semester has come to an end and perhaps you have left the Albany area for the break. As you may know, library materials don’t come due automatically at the end of the semester so you can take them home for the winter if you like. Keep an eye on the due date, though!
What are you to do if you need to return a book while you’re away? Well, the first thing you can do is renew it using your My Library Account. Just don’t forget it when you come back home! If you can’t renew a book or don’t want to, you can also mail it to the University Library or Science Library at University at Albany, 1400 Washington Ave, or Dewey Library at 135 Western Ave, depending on where you checked it out. For more information on returning books while away from campus, call the Dewey circulation desk at (518) 442-3693.
If you haven’t paid off your fines before the semester ends, don’t worry, you can do that remotely as well! Payments can be made via credit or debit card over the phone by calling one of our billings clerks, Mary Marrongelli or Lisa Fenton at 518-442-3601. Checks may be made out to the University at Albany and mailed to University Libraries Circulation Billing Unit LI 118 University at Albany, SUNY Albany, NY 12222. For more information on paying fines see our policy pageor call Mary or Lisa at the number listed above.
Now that you know how to take care of your extant library issues we at the Dewey Library hope you can rest easier once the semester is over. So go home and enjoy the holidays!
