University Libraries.

Did you miss us?

On Tuesday evening, February 6, the Dewey librarians and staff hung out in Husted Hall, greeting students for the biannual Welcome Back Event.

Do you know who your subject librarian is?

We had a great time highlighting the Dewey Library. Students picked up bookmarks, information on the library and its resources and services and our famous purple UAlbany library pens! You can pick up some of these handouts at the Dewey Reference Desk.

Students learned that we are open 7 days a week and that we are located on the east-side of the downtown campus. Those who stopped by also had the opportunity to meet their subject librarians.

We also hosted a contest where students answered why they loved studying at Dewey Library via a social media post. Contest participants could select a prize from the table. Students noted that they loved Dewey for the quiet study atmosphere. Why do you love studying at Dewey? Let us know!

Throughout the night, over 180 students visited the table and over 100 cookies were consumed. Thanks for joining us!

Lauren Puzier and Bridget Collins organized this event with the help of Carol Anne Germain, Courtney Degonzague, Angela Hackstadt, Ryan Gill, Lindsay Van Berkom and Tyler Norton.
