The University Libraries are proud to introduce our inaugural Internship Cohort. This spring we welcomed three students from the Information Science master's program.

"This year's cohort enabled us to flesh out a consistent learning experience and establish a pipeline to bring talented information science students into the academic library setting," says Elaine Lasda, Library Strategist. "This provides a win-win for the students, who obtain valuable hands-on experience, and the libraries who benefit from the fresh perspective of engaged and motivated learners who are eager to apply what they have studied in the classroom."

Digital Scholarship Intern

I'm Suraj Krovvidi, a graduate student specializing in Information Sciences with a concentration in Data Analytics. I'm set to graduate this semester. Currently, I'm interning with the Libraries' Digital Scholarship unit, where I'm focused on implementing best practices in data visualization and other data-handling techniques. Looking ahead, I aspire to transition into a career as a financial or business analyst where I can leverage my skills in data analytics to drive insightful decision-making. I'm excited for the journey ahead!

Farzana Sabah

Dean's Office Intern

This is Farzana. I'm originally from Bangladesh and I have been living here in Upstate New York for almost four years now. My undergraduate studies focused on computer science and engineering, and I'm currently in my last semester, specializing in the Information Management and Technology track. Following my undergrad studies, I worked as a SEO (search engine optimization) analyst for a couple of years and grew interested in modern  information organization and user interactions with different forms of data in different information environments. Growing up I used to read a lot, and am still very passionate about books and literature.
