The University Library is on the west end of the Academic Podium.

Minerva Room

The Minerva Room (LI-B003) is a multipurpose space on the University Library's garden level that serves both as an open study area and an event venue. The room accommodates large groups of 30-90. 

Location: Garden Level

Room is outfitted with:

  • Flexible furniture configurations
  • Garden access
  • Stage area
  • Power outlets
  • Screen with connections for computers
  • Mobile podium

Reservations require approval and requests must be made at least seven days in advance.

University Library Large Group Study Rooms

Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. At least 2 people must be present to check out a group study room key.

Location: 1st Floor North
Rooms: LI-137 A-G
Number of Rooms: 6

University Library Studio B47

Use Studio B47 for recording video interviews, podcasting, and rehearsing presentations/thesis defenses. 

Patrons must complete a quick orientation before using the Studio and its equipment. To schedule an orientation, email rclow@albany.edu

Dewey Graduate Library

The Dewey Graduate Library is on the east end of campus, inside Hawley Hall.

Dewey Large Group Study Room

The Dewey Large Group Study Room is located on the lower level of the library. It has a wall of windows for natural light and overlooks the Quiet Study area.

  • 16 seats
  • 5 PCs running Windows OS
  • 1 whiteboard
  • 1 presenter station
  • 1 large screen TV for presentations with sound
  • 1 VCR + TV for VHS viewing
  • Conference Phone (PSC required)
