There are 20 group study rooms in the Science Library. The Science Library houses 12 on the 1st and 2nd floors. Each of these rooms has a PC, speakers, a table and chairs, and a whiteboard. An additional 8 rooms are located in the Science Library lower level; these 8 rooms are available after 5pm Monday – Friday and all day Saturday – Sunday.
Group study room keys may be checked out by patrons with borrowing privileges at the University at Albany. Keys to the group study rooms may be requested at the Circulation Desk. Rooms are for group (two or more persons) use only. The loan period for the room key is three hours. Room key loans may not be renewed. Staff may use judgement and make exceptions to the non-renewal policy if there are multiple room keys available when a key is returned.
