What is Librarians on Location?
Librarians on Location! is a series of pop-up events designed to make research support more accessible by meeting students where they are. By setting up in a central, high-traffic area of the University Library (1st Floor, North), this initiative removes barriers to seeking help, creating a casual and approachable environment for students to ask questions. Whether you need quick guidance or deeper research assistance, Librarians on Location provides an easy way to connect with expert support without the need for an appointment. The goal is to foster engagement with library resources, increase awareness of research services, and encourage students to feel comfortable seeking help throughout their academic journey.
What are some of the things Librarians can help me with?
Interested in dropping by during our pop-up times? Here are some things that Librarians can help you with:
- Finding and evaluating sources for research papers and projects
- Using advanced search techniques to improve research results
- Navigating library databases and search tools
- Locating books, articles, and other materials
- Identifying credible and scholarly sources
- Answering general library and research related questions
If you need further assistance, you can also book a one-on-one appointment with a Librarian.
