Lauren Puzier Honored for Excellence in Librarianship
Lauren Puzier, User Experience Librarian, received the 2025 President's Excellence in Librarianship Award. President Havidán RodrÃguez recognized Lauren during the Spring University Address on April 16. The awards kept coming for Lauren, as during commencement weekend she received Excellence in Teaching Award for Information Sciences and Technology from the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security & Cybersecurity. Congratulations Lauren!

Amanda Lowe Earns Chancellor's Award
Amanda Lowe, Outreach and Marketing Librarian, received the endorsement of Dr. John B. King Jr. for the 2024-25 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Librarianship. Amanda earned specific commendations for her efforts in creating a student-centric marketing plan for the University Libraries, as well as for building partnerships across SUNY institutions. Congratulations, Amanda!
Welcome, Jack Kenney
Jack Kenney joined the University Libraries on January 6, 2025 as Reference and User Services Librarian. Jack holds an M.A. in English and the M.S.I.S. from the University at Albany. He previously worked as a graduate student assistant in the Reference and Research Services Department, as well as the Access Services Department.
Additionally, we would like to congratulate Janice Vega, Library Assistant 1 for Acquisitions, who retired in March. Janice worked in the University Libraries for more than 30 years. Congratulations, Janice!
