I am proud to share this community and service themed installment with you today. I say it often, the University Libraries are more than a repository of books. We are a vibrant, evolving space where students, faculty, staff, and the entire community can come together to learn, to grow, and also to serve.

Great Dane Hall of Service opens in University Library

The University at Albany celebrated the opening of the Great Dane Hall of Service in the University Library on May 7, 2025.

University Libraries, Albany Public Library strengthen connections through library card drives, internships

"As a UAlbany alum myself (MSIS 2011), I know firsthand how important it is for students to feel welcome in and connected to our city. Being an Albany Public Library member provides students and residents with many opportunities for shared experiences, and we are so excited to make it even easier for UAlbany students to get a library card," said Deanna DiCarlo, Head of Branch Services at Albany Public Library.
